  Christian Lacroix
Once with an aspiration to become a museum curator, Christian Lacroix instead became a fashion designer who was well received. He met Jean-Jacques Picart who helped Lacroix find a job at Hermes in 1978 and then Guy Paulin in 1980. After graduating, he worked at Jean Patou. He and Picart launched season after season of popular clothing that were bright and luxurious with perfection, making them popular designers of the time. Lacroix then opened his own couture house in 1987 a year later launched jewelry, handbags, shoes, glasses, scarves and ties. He went on to open boutiques within Paris. He eventually launched his Bazar line, new jeans, perfumes, children's line, lingerie for women and men.
