Guiseppe Borsalino was a skilled hat-maker who established Borsalino in 1857. It's been said that "his were the most skilled hand ever seen". In 1871, he converted pure hand-made production to industrial cycle and in 1880, began exporting products. Borsalino hats were characterized by their classic and elegant style. In the 80's, Borsalino introduced menswear. In 1998, Borsalino America, Inc. was created.
